The procedure of Body Hair Transplant to Head

Body hair transplant to the head is an advanced technique used when there is insufficient donor hair on the scalp to perform a traditional hair transplant. This method involves using hair from other parts of the body, such as the beard, chest, arms, legs, or back, to restore hair on the scalp. This procedure is particularly useful for individuals with extensive hair loss or those who have undergone multiple hair transplants and have depleted their scalp donor area.

Here’s a step-by-step procedure of  body hair transplant to head procedure:

1. Consultation and Assessment

The first step involves an in-depth consultation with a well-credentialed hair transplant surgeon. At this consult the surgeon will be evaluating a patient’s scalp and body hair, discuss their want with the expectation of results. Further, the surgeon will also evaluate whether the characteristics of body hair including quality, density, and texture match those present on the scalp.

2. Selecting the Donor Area

Following your initial consultation, the surgeon will be able to choose the best donor area on your body ( depending upon hair availability and quality). 3. Preparation of Donor Area
